MJ Abbott Ltd can supply a wide range of sands for many different applications.

The range includes moist and dried dressing sands, bunker sands, and specialist sands.


Bunker Sands

South Acre Sand
Colour: Off White / Grey
Originates from Newton Abbot, Devon. Used as a Bunker Sand by golf courses in the South West.

Headon Waterflow Sand
Colour: Off White / Grey
Originates from Ivybridge, Devon. Similar appearance to South Acre Sand. Used as a Bunker Sand by golf courses in the South West.

Wareham Washed White Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow / White
Originates from Wareham, Dorset. Used as a Bunker Sand by many golf courses along the South Coast of England.
This material is currently in very short supply.



Wareham White Bunker Sand

Wareham Leisure Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow / White
Originates from Wareham, Dorset. Used as a Bunker Sand by many golf courses along the South Coast of England.
This material is a very good match for the now unavailable Masters Leisure Sand.

Kingsley HSM3 Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow
Originates from Kingsley, Hampshire. This sand is commonly used as a bunker sand throughout the south.

Frith End Sand
Colour: Yellow / Orange
Originates from Bordon, Hampshire. Not particularly well known outside it local area.

Redhill 37 (RH37) Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow
Originates from Redhill, Surrey. A white washed silica sand, with a medium to fine grading. This sand is commonly used as bunker sand throughout Southern England.

GS5 Sand
Colour: Cream / Pale Yellow
Originates from Reigate, Surrey. A washed silica sand quite similar to RH37. Again commonly used as a bunker and dressing sand throughout the Southern Region.

Buckland Leisure Sand
Colour: Cream / Pale Yellow
Originates from Reigate, Surrey. A washed medium sand often used as a bunker sand.
 
Eagle 30 Sand
Colour: Cream / Pale Yellow
Originates from Reigate, Surrey. A washed silica sand with a medium to fine grading regularly used as a bunker and dressing sand throughout the South.

RB4 Sand
Colour: Cream / Pale Yellow
Originates from Reigate, Surrey. A 50/50 Blend of GS5 and Buckland Leisure Sand. Again used as a bunker sand and also for Beach Volley Ball.

LB Washed Off White Sand
Colour: Orangey Brown / Light Gold
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Typically used as a reasonably priced Bunker Sand.
 
BGR Bunker Sand
Colour: Cream / Pale Yellow
Originates from Sandbach, Cheshire. A good colour match for the now unavailable Moneystone Bunker Sand.
 
Bucbrick Medium Washed Bunker Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow / White
Originates from Ardleigh, Essex. With its rounded particle shape, this sand is extensively used to create attractive bunkers at some of the leading golf clubs in the Home Counties area and sometimes further afield.
This material is currently in very short supply.

Henham Sand
Colour: Buff / White
Originates from Henham, Suffolk. Regularly used as a Bunker Sand throughout Suffolk and Norfolk.
 
Thrislington Bunker Sand
Colour: Golden Buff
Originates from Ferryhill, County Durham. A medium coarse double washed sand used as a Bunker Sand in the North of England.

MM35 Sand
Colour: Reddish Buff
Originates from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. A medium coarse bunker sand used extensively in the Midlands region.

Originates from Warmwell, Dorset. A strong seller in the Southwest. A popular choice as a dressing sand.

Kingsley No. 1 Sand

Originates from Kingsley, Hampshire. Another best seller. Used extensively for sports dressing and in rootzone mixes.
 
Kingsley HSM1 Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow
Originates from Kingsley, Hampshire. This sand is widely used by the Sports and Leisure market as a sports dressing sand.

Originates from Westherham, Kent. A popular medium coarse dressing sand.

Top Dressing
Colour: Orange/ Brown
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. One of our best sellers. A medium coarse grading makes it a good choice as a dressing sand and for use in rootzones and divot mixes. Also available dried.

Leighton Buzzard Iron Sand
Colour: Orange/Brown
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Similar grading to DA30.

LB 2EW Sand
Colour: Orange/Brown
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Widely used and accepted as a premium carpet dressing and infill sand for artificial pitches. Also used as a greens dressing sand.
 
LB P205 Sand
Colour: Orange/Brown
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Befordshire. A medium coarse sand used for top dressing grass pitches.
 
LB P17D Sand
Colour: Orange/Brown
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Used dried as an infill sand for artificial pitches. 

Chelford 28 (CH28) Sand
Colour: Buff
Originates from Macclesfield, Cheshire. A medium coarse dressing and bunker sand. Also available dried.

Originates from Kilwinning, Ayrshire. A medium fine dressing sand.

LB P100 Equestrian Sand
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
This sand is a washed fine sand that compacts well and can be used on its own without the addition of rubber or fibre. This sand gives a good resilient surface for heavy to medium use and does not require a lot of maintenance.
 
Redhill RH Fines Equestrian Sand
Originates from Redhill, Surrey
This sand is an extremely popular sub-angular washed fine sand that compacts well and is often used with rubber or fibre to form a suitable surface.
 
LB Playpit Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
This sand has a smooth fine rounded particle size which conforms to BS EN71-Part 3 and BS EN1177. The smooth grains are thoroughly washed to remove any contaminants.
This sand is non-staining and non-toxic and can be used in long jump pits and children's play areas.

LB AS Moist Sand
Colour: Pale Yellow
Originates from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Used for Beach Parties, Long Jump Pits and with a little moisture for Sand Sculptures.
 
Glass Derived Sand
Originates from Crayford, London. Used as a bedding material for block paving and as a drainage material. This product is derived from Bottlebank Glass.
